Barry Wood is the founder and sole principal of b.wood
Architects since it's inception in late 1999. Barry
graduated from Syracuse University in 1993 with a
Bachelor of Architecture, having studied in Syracuse,
New York and Florence, Italy. Prior to opening bwA,
Barry was a designer at Bogdanow Partners (New York),
Helpern Architects (New York) and Zeidler Roberts
Partnership USA in Baltimore, Md. Recent and ongoing
projects include: the W Hotel in Manhattan, Coach
stores nationwide, the Charthouse Restaurant on the
Hudson, Legal Seafood Restaurants in Boston, Fauchon
Commisserie in Manhattan and numerous residential
projects in New York City, Philadelphia, California
and Connecticut.
A child of the suburbs, Barry was an extremely athletic
child, competing in baseball, basketball and soccer,
including traveling teams and televised games. For
the past several years, Barry has been a model, appearing
in numerous fashion editorials and print advertisements
in New York, Milan, Hamburg, Miami and Los Angeles.
Barry has also trained and worked on camera in films,
commercials and daytime television.
