Laurie's room

Instead of laying a green rug on top of the beige carpet, Gen cuts out a patch of the carpet and lays the new rug inside. Amy Wynn walks by and says under her breath "'Wow. That's scary-looking."

Laurie goes mod in her living room with gray and yellow horizontal stripes. She builds a glass top coffee table and adds a piece of custom artwork.

Laurie spends most of Day 1 taping her room. She doesn't have enough time or wood to create the storage she planned on doing.

Laurie, Paige, and a homeowner disagree on the best way to hang a painting. Laurie makes an executive decision, and says "I'm the designer."
