Doug turns a Victorian living room into an industrial loft. He uses purple paint, a yellow ceiling, custom art using paint chips, and wall sconces using candy dishes.

Laurie's room

Laurie's tiny bedroom gets mustard yellow paint, a custom built entertainment center, and a suspended bed canopy.

This is the first episode in which both designers make a point of assigning homework and leaving for the evening.
